A little girl dressed up one day; we’ll call her Susie Q
She was maybe five or six that day but looked all but two
She pulled on her little rain boots, grabbed her hat and coat
Took out her polka dot umbrella and carried out her tote
Prancing and dancing in the rain, as a little girl will do
Not noticing the monster in the grass, didn’t have a clue
The scaly serpent watched with his yellow-slitted eyes
Awaiting for little Susie Q to become his next demise
The little girl she ran and played and jumped in puddles too
I wasn’t expecting what came next and did not know what to do
The creature came out lashing with horror and with pride
Flashing his sharp teeth, his jaw open wide
Little Susie Q ran and spat out fear
Crying for her mother, who wasn’t even near
The gator chased and snarled at her, hoping for a snack
He was quick and fast and hungry, not prepared for a whack
Susie turned back to face this horrible beast
Hit him with her little tote, escaped his feast
He laughed and smirked as gators may and went to take a bite
She jumped and hopped as high as she could, almost taking flight
With swift speed and wit, Susie grabbed for her little pink umbrella
Stabbed the alligator in the eye and yelled, “Go to hell, you stupid fella!”
The gator was shocked, and to his dismay, he no longer had his sight
His anger became a full-blown rage, and he snapped with all his might
She took her little trusty, pink umbrella sword and stabbed again so true
The gator lost his other eye and thought, “that’s the last time I mess with Susie Q.”
